About Our Events

Events presented on the Appomattox Events website are on behalf of the Appomattox Community and Disaster Relief Organization, a civic organization dedicated to the betterment of Appomattox County and its citizens, as well as being equipped and prepared to aid local agencies and citizens in the event of a natural disaster, search and rescue, or any other important event which may occur. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization – our IRS determination letter can be requested through our Contact Page at https://www.appomattoxcares.org. Our Federal EIN is 87-2805277.

The events hosted by us are fundraising endeavors, of which we use the profits to aid our community in emergency situations, including but not limited to fire, flood, and natural disasters. We initiate and/or participate in community-oriented projects and educational training designed to enhance the well-being of the citizens of the county. We support our community members in need through food, clothing, and other donation drives.

By purchasing an event sponsorship package, or an event vendor space at one our events, you are directly investing in the continued support and wellbeing of our Appomattox community members.

We host several events throughout the year, including our original and largest event, The Appomattox Oyster Fest, the Appomattox Wine Festival, and our newest events, the Appomattox Outdoor Expo, and the Appomattox Oktoberfest.
